Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Donahue

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Donahue, 73, of Nellis Road, Fort Plain, New York passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home, following a battle with cancer.

Born on August 1, 1945 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of William Wall and Mildred Fredericks Wall.  She was a graduate of Sharon Springs Central High School and had been a local area resident since 1995. 

Mrs. Donahue worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie as a machine operator for over 43 years, retiring on January 10, 2008.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ames, NY.

Mrs. Donahue enjoyed writing letters, having a lot of Pen Pals.  She loved animals, dancing, and music.

Her first husband, James W. Mickle; second husband, Donald Donahue; and brothers, William Wall and Robert Wall all predeceased her.

Mrs. Donahue is survived by 4 children, Faith A. Garrett of Glenville, NY, James Mickel and Hope of Canajoharie, NY, Kevin E. Mickel and Lisa of TN, Andrew W. Mickel of Amsterdam, NY; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; life partner, Skip Wright of Fort Plain, NY; Skip’s daughters, Melinda Seymore, Lori Clark, their children, and grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 6:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4:00-6:00PM at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Green Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
