Obituary of Robert A. Sickler

Mr. Robert A. Sickler, 70, of Fort Plain passed away on October 7th, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Little Falls, NY, on November 19, 1944, the son of Arthur Sickler and Mary Greene Sickler. He had been a lifetime Fort Plain resident, and attended Fort Plain High School.
Robert had been retired from Fort Plain DPW as the supervisor since 2002. Yet he was always working having also been a self employed truck driver, a logger for his company Trebor Enterprises, Bob Sickler's Fire Wood, or working as a mechanic.
When he wasn't working Bob enjoyed woodworking, and always looked forward to seeing his family, especially his children, and grandchildren.
On November 29, 1964 in Sailsbury Center, NY he married Judy Clary Sickler, with them celebrating 50 years of marriage together.
He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter, Diane Sickler, and one granddaughter, Gracie Mania.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Sickler, of Fort Plain; One Daughter Lori Mania, and her husband, Josh, of Sprakers; Three Sons, Robert W. and his wife Helene Sickler of Seattle Washington, Gregory Sickler of Fort Plain, NY, and Chris Sickler and Kayla of Fort Plain; Three sisters, Amy Hauber and Wendell, Dorothy Beach and Linda and Peter Allen; Grandchildren Alexandria, Sierra, Braedy, Ethan and Chloe Sickler, Rebecca Mania, and step grandchildren, Tucker, Clayton, and Olivia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and Cousins.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at the Canajoharie Eagles Club, on Saturday October 17th, 2015, at 1:00 PM.
