Obituary of Richard H. Morris

Mr. Richard "Dick" H. Morris, 64, of Phillips Avenue, Canajoharie, New York died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born on January 3, 1951 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Benn and LaVerna Geigle Morris. He was a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor's Degree in Math. He spent a lifetime in the banking industry, most recently working for and retiring from Americu Credit Union in 2013. Mr. Morris enjoyed carpentry and was an avid reader. He loved spending time with his family. In August 2004 in Schenectady, NY, Richard was married to Claudia Pagliocca. Together they celebrated over 11 years of marriage. His twin brother, Robert and 2 sons, Joshua and Justin Morris, predeceased Mr. Morris. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Claudia Morris of Canajoharie, NY; daughter, Chiarra Morris of Canajoharie, NY; son, Thomas Morris of Saratoga Springs, NY; 2 sisters, Merry Miller, Jean Ferguson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Richard H. Morris may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
