Obituary of Victor J. Paluzzi

Victor J. Paluzzi Mr. Victor J. Paluzzi, of Burch Street, Canajoharie, New York died, Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness. Born on December 13, 1922 in Canajoharie, NY, he was the son of Joseph E. Paluzzi and Florence Rose Paluzzi. He had been a resident of Canajoharie for 42 years, previously residing in St. Johnsville. Mr. Paluzzi attended the IBR school for Plumbing and Heating, as well as taking a Modern Kitchen Course in Syracuse. He also was proud to be a licensed master plumber. Mr. Paluzzi retired in May 2015. He spent his career working for Joseph Paluzzi and Sons, Kitchen Studio, Burgess Fuel and Supply, Ace Hardware of Johnstown, and most recently Fort Plain True Value. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in World War II and the Korean War as a Ship Pipe Fitter First Class. Mr. Paluzzi was a member of the Last Man's Club, and the Loyal Order of the Moose #853 in Canajoharie. On August 5, 1972 at the former St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church in Canajoharie, Victor married Rosemary Smith. Together they celebrated 44 years of marriage. In addition to his parents Mr. Paluzzi was predeceased by his sisters, Rose, Elsie, and Eleanor; Brother, John; and his first wife, Lucille Paluzzi in 1969. Mr. Paluzzi is survived by his wife, Rosemary Paluzzi of Canajoharie, NY; 3 sons, Alan Paluzzi of Canajoharie, NY, Jim Paluzzi of Idaho, Peter Paluzzi of California ; 2 sisters, Eileen Show, Helen Iacobucci; brother, Joseph Paluzzi; 4 grandchildren, Claire Paluzzi, Victoria Paluzzi, Maria Paluzzi, Corra Lambert; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral will take place on Thursday August 11th, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the chapel of Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the funeral from 10:00am until the service. Burial will take place following the funeral at St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Canajoharie. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Victor J.
