Mr. Alvin Smith, 81, most recently of Petersburg, NY, formerly of Fort Plain, NY died Tuesday, August 09, 2016 at South Western Medical Center in Bennington, VT.
Born on February 28, 1935 in the Town of Canajoharie, NY, he was the son of William M. Smith and Bertha Lasher Smith.
Mr. Smith worked for the Fort Plain Cemetery Association for several years.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at Fort Plain Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY.
