Ms. Norma R. Wells, 84, of Vosburgh Road, Canajoharie, New York died unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at St. Mary's Healthcare of Amsterdam. Born on June 29, 1931 in Canajoharie, NY, she was the daughter of Earl Vosburgh, Sr. and Ethel Wessell Vosburgh. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, attended Plattsburgh College and was a lifetime area resident. Ms. Wells worked for LifeSavers until her retirement. Following retirement, she went to Nursing School. After obtaining her nursing license, Norma worked as a home healthcare nurse. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Palatine Bridge, NY. Ms. Wells enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was known as a giving and helpful person to all of her family, friends, and people she met throughout her life. Her brother, Earl Vosburgh; and sisters, Beatrice Voght and Gladys Birdsong predeceased her. Ms. Wells is survived by her daughters, Wendy Yacobucci of Palatine Bridge, NY, Rona and Kenneth Kniep of Fort Plain, NY; son, Timothy and Lucille Wells of Town of Root, NY; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marion Stevens of Amsterdam, NY, Jean Peterson of TX; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 3:00 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 165 West Grand Street, Palatine Bridge, NY 13428.
