Obituary of Evelyn W. Timerman

Mrs. Evelyn W. Timerman, 80, of West Grand St., Palatine Bridge, New York, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, New York, after a short hospitalization.
She was born on July 12, 1927 in Canajoharie, New York, the daughter of Russell Williams and Doris Moore Williams. Evelyn graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1944 and had some nursing training.
Evelyn married Claude L. Timerman on August 24, 1946 at St. John's & St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Canajoharie and they were together for 48 happy years. Claude predeceased Evelyn January 10, 1994.
Mrs. Timerman was employed at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie as well as a long time employee of the United States Postal Service, in addition to church secretary and Palatine Bridge Village Clerk for a many years. She will best be remembered for her willingness to pitch in right up to her last days at age 80.
Activities included St. John's & St. Mark's Lutheran Church Women's Group, Church Choir, Sunday School teacher, Canajoharie Senior Citizens, volunteer work with the residents of Arkell Hall Adult Home, Valley Choralaires, Palatine Literary Society, and Cross Trails Square Dance Club. She was active in the scouting program and enjoyed playing cards, bowling and picnics. She was a fun-loving grandmother who enjoyed and supported her grandchildren in every way possible.
Mrs. Timerman is survived by her son, Mark A. and April Timerman of Canajoharie, NY; her daughter, Norma A. and David Bowley of Palatine Bridge, NY; a brother, George Williams of Palatine Bridge, NY; a sister, Marion MacIntyre of St. Johnsville, NY; and five grandchildren, Jeremy Acovangelo and Somer Timerman of Canajoharie, NY, Joanna Bowley, Melissa Bowley, and Elijah Bowley of Palatine Bridge, NY.
