Obituary of Katherine Finelli

Katherine Finelli, 78, of Sand Creek Road, Colonie, died Friday morning, February 22, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Manhattan, New York on December 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Henry and Catherine Carey Beehler. She was a graduate of Bronx City School in New York City. She was a resident of Colonie for over 21 years, having lived in Rockland, Blauvelt, New York City and Bronx, New York. She married Joseph J. Finelli in Bronx, New York in 1952. He predeceased her on November 11, 1978. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a telephone operator. Mrs. Finelli had been a volunteer for the American Red Cross for over 10 years. She was of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her sons, Donald J. Finelli and his wife Debra of Glenville, New York and George B. Finelli and his wife Suzy of Yorktown, Virginia; her brother and sister-in-law John and Eileen Beehler of Dutchess, New York; 2 grandsons, Kevin and Brian Finelli of Virginia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, New York. Burial will take place in Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, New York.
