Obituary of Eileen H. Simons

Eileen H. Simons, 69, formerly of Goodrich Avenue, Fort Plain, New York and most recently of St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center died March 4, 2008 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown following a lengthy illness. She was born August 3, 1938 in Newburgh, New York, the daughter of Morris Sharp and Lillian Frier. Mrs. Simons was a graduate of Newburgh High School. Mrs. Simons was employed at Agway for several years before becoming a mother and homemaker. Mrs. Simons had resided in Fort Plain since 1977. She married Ellis Simons on July 11, 1968 in Newburgh, New York, he died August 1979. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Lynn and Timothy Veitch of Fort Plain, NY; her son, David Simons of New York City, NY; one grandson, Zachary Strobel of Fort Plain, NY and one granddaughter, Lexi Veitch of Fort Plain, NY. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
