Obituary of Augusta Florian

Augusta Florian, 96, formerly of High Street, Fort Plain, New York, died March 13, 2008 at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown, NY following a long illness.
She was born September 10, 1911 in Nila, Germany, the daughter of Lowswig Woufrum and Johanna Glosler.
Mrs. Florian attended Little Falls School and graduated from Remington and Ilion Business School.
Mrs. Florian was a secretary at Harrison Lab and Salada Tea in Little Falls, NY and later worked with her husband on the family farm.
She had been a Fort Plain resident for over 11 years previously residing outside the Fort Plain area.
Augusta was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Republican Party.
On July, 1952 she married Gustav Florian who predeceased her in December 1989. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Peter Weinhimer in 1937; a son, Theodore Weinhimer; and a granddaughter, Joanna M. Weinhimer Tibold.
Survivors include a son; Richard P. and his wife Josefa Weinhimer, Sr. of Fort Plain, NY; a grandson, Richard P. and his wife Karen Weinhimer II of Amsterdam, NY; two great-granddaughters, Emma Weinhimer and Ava Tibold; five great-grandsons, Richard A., Christian G., John R., William N. and Charles C. Weinhimer. She is also survived by a nephew, Karl Muller of Rochester, NY; a cousin, Doris Pacquela of Little Falls, NY; along with several nieces and nephews.
