Obituary of John Kerry Moravec

Mr. John Kerry Moravec, 65, of Otsquago Club Road, Fort Plain, New York died Monday, January 4, 2016 at his home. Born on July 27, 1950 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of John A. Moravec and Katherine Trainor Moravec. He was a graduate of the NYC School System. He had been a resident of Fort Plain for the past 15 years, previously residing in Freeport, NY. He was of Catholic faith. Mr. Moravec was an ironworker for the Iron Worker's Union in NYC for over 30 years, working on the old Yankee Stadium. Mr. Moravec was a Merchant Marine for 3 years. He enjoyed traveling. His daughter, Karen Moravec Davis predeceased Mr. Moravec in 2014. Mr. Moravec is survived by his longtime companion, Roseann Acevdo of Fort Plain, NY; brother, John D. Moravec of Freeport, NY; sister, Katherine Reilly of Holbrook, NY; niece, Kay Mary Reilly; 3 nephews, Alexander, Jack, and Shamus Reilly.
