Mrs. Marion Mac Intyre, 79, of Lafayette Street, Palatine Bridge, New York, died Saturday morning, June 14, 2008 at St. Johnsville Nursing Home.
She was born on August 22, 1928 in Palatine Bridge, NY, the daughter of Russell Williams and Doris Moore.
Mrs. Mac Intyre was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1946.
Mrs. Mac Intyre worked for the former Arkell & Smith and Beech-Nut. She also provided child care for over 125 children.
She was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Mac Intyre was a member of St. John & St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for over 67 years.
She was a member of the Chorallaries. Mrs. Mac Intyre was also a member of the Canajoharie Senior Citizens, and former president of the organization for 10 years. She was a member of the St. Johnsville Residents Council and the Mohawk Pathways Girl Scouts Council. She was a Vacation Bible School Coordinator. Marion was also a charter member of the Cherry Valley Ambulance Corps.
On March 3, 1951 Marion married James Mac Intyre.
Mrs. Marion Mac Intyre was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn W. Timerman, Beverly Vrooman and Elenor Betterton.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Mac Intyre of Allentown, PA; and two sons, Donald "Skip" Mac Intyre and Louise of Palatine Bridge, NY, and Jeffery Mac Intyre and wife Ellen of Palatine Bridge, NY. She is also survived by a brother, George Williams and wife Angie, of Palatine Bridge, NY; grandchildren, Laura Steele and her husband Justin of Caroga Lake, NY, Bryan Mac Intyre of Palatine Bridge, NY, James Mac Intyre of Palatine Bridge, NY; and a great-grandson, Torin Steele.
