Obituary of Justine K. Vosburgh

Mrs. Justine K. Vosburgh, 81, of St. Hwy. 10, Palatine Bridge, New York, died Sunday morning, June 29, 2008 at her home.
She was born on February 17, 1927 in the Town of Day, New York. She was the daughter of Raymond H. Kibler and Ethel Abrams.
Justine was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, class of 1945. She also attended Rider Business School in Trenton, New Jersey.
Justine was most recently employed as a part time secretary for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department in Fonda, NY for 15 years.
She had been an area resident since 1940.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stone Arabia.
Mrs. Vosburgh was a member of the Smith-Schultz American Legion Post #222 Ladies Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was a past partner of the 8/40 Department of NYS #223 for 16 years. Justine was also an avid bowler and played on the Tuesday Night League for 55 years. She was State Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion. She was a member of the Canajoharie Moose Lodge #987. Justine also followed her brother John's baseball career avidly, as he was a Major League Umpire.
On March 4, 1950 Justine married Charles W. Vosburgh, Jr. at the Reformed Church in Fort Plain. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2004. She was also predeceased by a sister, June Beckwith-Grier in 1989.
Justine is survived by a son, Charles R. Vosburgh of Palatine Bridge, NY; a daughter, Sandra A. Vosburgh of Palatine Bridge, NY; and a brother, John W. Kibler of Palo Alto, CA. She is also survived by two nephews, John and Jeffery Kibler of CA and several cousins.
