Obituary of Catherine J. Wilder

Mrs. Catherine J. Wilder, 56, of Kahn Rd., Fort Plain, New York, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness. Born October 19, 1951 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Harold J. Holtz and Gladys S. Homkey. Catherine was a graduate of Canajoharie High School. Mrs. Wilder was most recently employed as a bus driver for Canajoharie Central School District for 25 years. She was a lifetime area resident. Mrs. Wilder loved spending time with her family. On July 10, 1971 Catherine married, Kenneth G. Wilder, Jr. in New Hartford, NY. Together they celebrated 37 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth G. Wilder, Jr. of Fort Plain, NY; daughters, Jody A. Wilder of Fort Plain, NY, Jennifer W. Petteys of Fort Plain, NY, and her son, Kenneth G. Wilder III of Fort Plain, NY. She is also survived by her mother, Gladys Holtz of Palatine Bridge, NY; sisters, Deborah Holtz of Palatine Bridge, NY, Donna Holtz of Palatine Bridge, NY, Nancy Holtz of Mayfield, NY; four grandchildren, Chance Petteys, Josh Wilder, Caitlyn Petteys, Marissa Wilder; a step-grandson, Jeremy Wilson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Catherine was predeceased by her father, Harold J. Holtz, March 5, 1987 and her brother, Harold Paul Holtz, May 2, 1986.
