Mr. Roger C. Clark, 77, formerly of Church Street, Canajoharie, New York died, Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2008 at the Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York.
Born on October 31, 1930 in Canajoharie, NY, he was the son of Carl Clark and Blanche Cool Clark.
Mr. Clark was educated in the Canajoharie Schools.
He was a Forklift operator and checker at Beech-Nut Nutrition Corp. in Canajoharie, retiring in 1992 after 36 years of service.
Mr. Clark was a lifelong area resident.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952 to 1955 and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was of Methodist faith.
Mr. Clark was a life member of the Mohawk Valley VFW Earl Stock Memorial Post #3275. He was also a life member of the Boiling Pot Aerie #3846 Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Canajoharie and the Smith-Schultz American Legion Post #222 in Canajoharie.
Mr. Clark is survived by his two sons, Gordon Paul Clark of Fort Plain, NY, Roger C. Clark, Jr. of Palatine Bridge, NY; two daughters, Fay VanSchaick of Canajoharie, NY, and RoseAnn Frasier of Palatine Bridge, NY. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
