Mr. Gerald O. Whitehouse, 82, of Honey Hill Road, Fort Plain, New York, died Sunday evening, November 16, 2008 at the Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville.
Born on September 27, 1926 in Meco, NY, he was the son of Earl Whitehouse and Cassie Allen.
Mr. Whitehouse was employed as an Agway serviceman for 17 years, later becoming self-employed as a farmer and a serviceman.
Mr. Whitehouse was a lifetime area resident.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On July 30, 1949 Gerald married Beatrice Kneeskern in Gloversville, NY. They celebrated 59 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife Beatrice Whitehouse of Fort Plain, NY, Mr. Whitehouse is also survived by his sons, David and Mona Whitehouse of Little Falls, NY, Timothy Whitehouse of Alexandria, VA; sister, Mrs. Audrey Hisert of Fort Plain, NY; 4 grandsons and 2 step-granddaughters.
