Obituary of John Shefczuk

Mr. John Shefczuk, 75, of Latimer Hill Road, Canajoharie, New York died Monday, November 17, 2008 at Van Allen Nursing Home. Born on August 17, 1933 in Albertson, Long Island, he was the son of Michael Paul Shefczuk and Natalie Butcik. Mr. Shefczuk was a graduate of Mineolia High School. He was the owner of John's Auto Repair in Albertson until 1978 when he became a dairy farmer. Mr. Shefczuk served in the Army as a Sergeant. He was of Russian Orthodox faith. Mr. Shefczuk was a member of the NRA. He celebrated 37 years of marriage with his wife, Dawn Davidson. Mr. Shefczuk was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Shefczuk of Canajoharie, NY; daughters, Tammy Shefczuk of Canajoharie, NY, Natalia Sistrunk of Fort Hood, TX, Helen Emerson of Fort Plain, NY, Connie Shefczuk of Canajoharie, NY; sons, John Shefczuk, Jr. of Sprakers, NY, and Michael Shefczuk of Canajoharie, NY. He is also survived by three grandchildren. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
