Mrs. Jean Ann Dillon, 81, of Prospect Street, Canajoharie, New York died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at her home.
Born on August 29, 1927 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Allo Quackenbush and Hilda Montanye Quackenbush. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School.
She was a local area resident for most of her life.
Mrs. Dillon worked as a bookkeeper and cashier at the former Victory Market in Canajoharie for many years.
She was a devoted Christian and loved spending time with her family and friends. She drove many people to appointments and was first to volunteer. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Mrs. Dillon was a member of the Canajoharie Reformed Church and was very active in church activities.
She was married to Russell Henza for over 20 years. She was then happily married to Benjamin Dillon. She was predeceased by both.
Mrs. Dillon is survived by her two sons, Don and Arlene Henza of Greensboro, NC, Guy and Cindy Henza of Howell, MI; a daughter, Joy and Dave Hodgson of Dixfield, ME; a brother, Donald Quackenbush of East Syracuse, NY; a sister, Marilyn and John Foss of Johnstown, NY; step children, Ann and Norm Carter of Knoxville, TN, Brian and Linda Dillon of Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren, Jack, Allen, Sandi, Becky; step grandchildren, Craig, Luke, Laurie, Magen, Matt; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Nathanyal; 6 step great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
