Obituary of John Bayne Young

Mr. John Bayne Young, 87, of Maple Ave., Canajoharie, New York died, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at St. Johnsville Nursing Home.
Born on February 19, 1922 in Canajoharie, NY, he was the son of John Lester Young and Pasha Fear Young. He was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Young was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1939. He also attended Photography school in New York City.
Mr. Young started at Arkell and Smith in Canajoharie and most recently worked for the former Baronet Litho Co., in Johnstown, NY.
He was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II and received the American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Young enjoyed photography and water color painting. He also loved music. Mr. Young played the Trumpet with the band 2nd Time Around for several years.
On September 19, 1942 he married Ethel "Eileen" Young in Canajoharie, NY. She preceded him in death on November 24, 1980.
He was also predeceased by a brother, Paul Young.
Mr. Young is survived by three daughters, Janice and Robin Morris of Fort Ann, NY, Sharon and Roger Hime of Summerville, FL, Pamela and Carlos of Citra, FL; a brother, Robert Young of Menomonic, WI; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
