Patricia R. Dean, 69, of St. Hwy. 5S, Fort Plain, New York, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her home following a brief illness.
Born on May 23, 1940 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Fred M. Dean and Evelyn Dunkel Dean. She was a graduate of Canajoharie Central School,class of 1958. She was also a graduate of Truck Driving School in Utica. Pat spent the majority of her life in the local area.
Pat did bookwork for various local businesses, and had worked at the Herkimer Reformed Church for a short time. She enjoyed farming with her companion, Ray.
She was of Protestant faith.
Pat was very passionate about her horses, enjoying many different activities with her full size and miniature horses. She was the owner and operator of Harmony Horse Haven and had riding and boarding school for the horses there.
She was predeceased by a sister, Priscilla Lisco and a brother, Dr. Thomas Dean.
Pat is survived by her companion of many years, Ramon Oldick of Fort Plain,NY; a son, Timothy Klock and his wife Dawn of Lancaster, PA; a daughter, Linda Klock of Dunedin,Florida; two grandchildren, Nicole and Martin Klock and a brother, Fred
Dean of Canajoharie, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
