Mrs. Ada M. Cool, 87, of Nellis Street, Nelliston, NY, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY, following a brief illness.
Born on March 19, 1922 in McKinley, NY, she was the daughter of Samuel Horning and Ada Miles Horning. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Cool was a machine operator for Beech Nut Corp. in Canajoharie for over 30 years.
She was of Protestant faith.
Mrs. Cool was a member of the BPOE Eagles Auxiliary of Canajoharie #3846. She was an avid reader and loved traveling.
On August 17, 1977 she married Mr. William B. Cool, Sr.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Edward Prall; two brothers, Elmer Horning, William Horning; and three sisters, Isabel Hoyer, Dewey Wolgemuth and Mildred Horning.
In addition to her husband, William B. Cool, Sr. of Nelliston, NY, she is also survived by her three sons, Samuel Lapi and Kathy Lathers of Fort Plain, NY, Anthony Lapi and Phyliss of Sprakers, NY, Ronald "Jake" Prall, Sr. of Fort Plain, NY; a daughter, Linda DeLong and William McDuffee of Fort Plain, NY; step-daughter, Sherri and Michael Stenton of Nelliston, NY; step-son, William E. and Mary Beth Cool of Canajoharie, NY; grandchildren, Christopher Stenton, Courtney Stenton, William Cool, Robert Cool, Katavia DeLong, Michael Lapi, Timothy Lapi, Shane Lathers, Ronald Prall, Jr., Ilene Linney, Hope Prall, Ian VanLoan; and 13 great-grandchildren.
