Susan M. Parker Obituary

Miss Susan M. Parker, 64, of Orchard Street, Canajoharie, NY, passed away at home on January 4, 2025.

Sue was born in Amsterdam, NY, on February 2, 1960, the daughter of the late William H. and Mary Whalen Parker.

In 1978, she graduated from Canajoharie High School, where she was a member of the yearbook staff and National Honor Society.

Sue was a communicant of the former St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church and, most recently, of Our Lady of Hope in Fort Plain, NY.

She was predeceased in death by her brother, Gary W. Parker, on March 15, 1993, her sister, Sandra Parker, on August 14, 2016, and both her parents.

The survivors include two brothers, Michael Parker and Randall Parker, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will always be remembered for her positive attitude, determination, ability to see the best in things, and crafting skills. She had a keen sense of the weather, oddly, we believe, due to her birthday being on Groundhog Day. Whether it was sitting on the front porch chatting about her family or watching the game show network, she was always quick with the details only she could remember.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on June 21, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Hope, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13317, and she will be buried at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Sue's memory to Shriners Children's Hospital, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104, or the Canajoharie Vol. Fire Dept, PO Box 28, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
