Mrs. Karen L. Kornell, 55, of Center Street, Fort Plain, NY, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Flushing Hospital in Flushing, NY following a long illness.
Born on August 2, 1954 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Clifford Vosburgh and Hazel Phillips Vosburgh. She was a graduate of Fort Plain Central School, class of 1972 and has resided in the Fort Plain area her entire life.
Mrs. Kornell was most recently employed at the former Industrial Knitting Mill in Amsterdam, NY.
She was of Christian faith.
Mrs. Kornell was a volunteer at Club West in Nelliston, NY.
She was married to William C. Kornell. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1993.
Mrs. Kornell is survived by her sister, Kathleen A. and Richard P. Jones of Fort Plain, NY; brother, Alan Vosburgh of Utica, NY; three nieces, Jennifer, Janice, Jessica; grand-niece, Brooke Ann and grand-nephew, Jarrette.
