Obituary of Beverly Lake

Mrs. Beverly Lake, 87 of Churchill Road, St. Johnsville, Town of Ephratah, passed away at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home on Friday September 20, 2024.
Mrs. Lake was born in Little Falls, NY, on April 22, 1937, the daughter of Harry and Adaline Miller Sweet, both who predeceased her.
She was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School.
For many years she worked at Ehle's Ceramics, doing everything from cleaning molds, to painting.
She lived her entire life in the local area, and had served on the Board of Elections for over 30 years.
She also was a member of the Ephratah Rural Fire Dept, and its Ladies Auxiliary for 60 plus years. She enjoyed sitting in her "Elvis Room", a room in her home dedicated to Elvis, playing cards, trips to the casino, but always looked forward to spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren who looked forward to her cooking.
On February 18, 1956 at the Salem United Methodist Church she married Harold Lake; together they shared 66 years of marriage. He predeceased her in death on September 25th, 2022.
She was also predeceased in death by her siser Marion Duesler and brother Edward Fassett.
Survivors include her children Randy and Judy Lake, Dawnna Ayers and Bruce, Traci and Frank Frederick, Jolene and Dave Christman; sister Doris HIsert; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A private graveside will be held at the Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
