Mr. Matthew Koss, 80, of Ridge Road, Canajoharie, NY, passed away at Albany Medical Center on August 9, 2024.

Mr. Koss was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 4, 1944, the son of Jack and Ada Koss.

He graduated from high school in New York City and obtained his bachelor's degree in business relations from City College of New York.

From 1966 until 1986, he was the personnel director at Beech-Nut; after this, he worked in the same capacity at several area firms.

In his spare time, he was an avid trout fisherman dedicated to supporting multiple charities.

On December 7, 1974, he married Lona Koss.

He was predeceased in death by his wife of 38 years on June 17, 2013, as well as his brother Robert "Bob" Koss.

He is survived by his step-sons, Gary Klump and Gregory Klump, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services; cremation is under the direction of Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
