Obituary of John Stowell

John Howard Stowell (Cueball), Age (59) residing in Oswego, New York, passed away on July 17, 2024.
Born March 6, 1965, he was the son of the late Clifford Stowell Sr & Barbra P. (Swank) Stowell.
Cueball lived in the Canajoharie and Fort Plain area until moving to Florida.
Cueball is preceded by his parents, grandparents, and his foster parents. He is survived by his daughter,
Jessica Kilmartin. Two Brothers Clifford (Lisa) Stowell, Lloyd Stowell. Three Sisters, Mabel (Bob) Taylor,
Nancy (Craig) Weaver and Ruby Smith. One Foster brother, Bobby (Lily) Sitterly, and Two Foster sisters, Angela
VanPatten and Janine (Rob) Hassick. His lifelong friend, Perley Yager. Also, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Cueball attended various schools and played various sports. He also had various jobs throughout his
lifetime, but one thing he enjoyed was helping out at local businesses in town, Jim’s Irish Harbor, and
Ernie's Bar and Restaurant.
Cueball also had many hobbies, including Fishing, Auto Racing, and Spending time with Friends, but most
of all, his favorite thing was playing pool in his hometown. He shot pool for Jim’s Irish Harbor, The
Canajoharie Eagles and The Dew Drop Inn. He was very honored to be a big part of these leagues; he
taught numerous people how to shoot pool. He took pride and honor in these leagues.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at The Canajoharie Moose,
Canajoharie, NY 13317, on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
The burial will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.
