Obituary of Bonnie Hoffman

Mrs. Bonnie Hoffman, 80, of Canajoharie, NY, passed away on July 16, 2024, at Ellis Hospital peacefully with her husband by her side.
Bonnie was born in Little Falls, NY, on November 4, 1943, the daughter of Richard and Jane Scheimer Robinson.
In 1961, she graduated from Fort Plain High School and then went to St. Mary's Nursing School to graduate as a registered nurse.
From the mid-1970s until 2008, Bonnie worked as the director of Arkell Hall, Canajoharie, NY.
She grew up in Nelliston, NY, and was a lifelong resident of the local area.
Bonnie was an active member of the Democratic committee of Montgomery County. She also enjoyed helping with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over 50 years. She wanted the time she spent as a Mohawk Valley Womans Club member, camping, traveling, and watching her grandchildren at sporting events. Everyone will never forget seeing her as she enjoyed her red convertible.
On April 24, 1965, in Fort Plain, NY, she married James Hoffman.
She was predeceased in death by her 1/2 sister, Janice Wolinski Becker.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James "Jim" Hoffman; son James "Manny" and his wife, Susan Hoffman; sister Virginia Robinson; half-sister Charlene Wolinski; half-brothers Mark Wolinski and Eric Wolinski; grandchildren Charles and Amanda; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family invites family and friends to visitation on Friday, 26th, 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. A Memorial Service will follow at noon, with burial at Ephratah Cemetery following that service.
