Dear Virginia and Keara,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She was truly a remarkable person.
I am not sure if you remember me ! Your mother lived next store ( same house) to my grandmother Sophie Frosch and my uncle Bernard Frosch on Walnut St. My two sisters and i spent many nights there . (Ward sisters) We would sit out on the porch on warm summer nights And your Mom and my Grandma would tell us stories as to what is was like when they were growing up. I personally felt that your Mom introduced me to the Catholic church.. On Sundays I went to the Lutheran Church but on Tuesday I was a Catholic!! I even got to listen on ocassion ( at the church) while she prepared her Sunday Worship service. Going over the hymns etc. She was a wonderful organist.
It seems so fitting that her funeral was at the church she played for all those years. And that you were able to have it there before the closing of it.
I know it is never easy to lose someone you love . Please accept my and my sisters deepest sympathy. We will always cherish those special memories that we have of her.
Sincerely
Judy ( Ward ) Swartz
