Obituary of Maria Anne Iannone

Mrs. Maria Anne Iannone, 61, of Sharon Springs, NY, passed away on January 15, 2024, while at Albany Medical Center.
Maria was a graduate of Mayfield High School, class of 1980. She later obtained her LPN from Herkimer County Community College.
In 1984, she enlisted in the US Airforce, obtained the rank of Sergeant, E-4, and retired in 1990.
She was employed as a nurse for Nurse Connection of Albany. Before that, she had worked at the Albany VA for several years.
Maria enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends, kayaking, being outdoors, traveling, and being home doing gardening and embroidery.
On June 1, 2013, she married Scott Iannone in Saratoga Springs, NY.
She was predeceased by her parents, David A. Shibley and Lucille E. Sanders, her daughter, Melissa Ann Roll, and her nephew, Ronald G. Webber.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Iannone; daughters Ashley Roll and Abigale L. Davis; siblings Joyce E. Whitman, David E. Shibley, Brian S. Shibley, John L. Shibley, Susan A. Claus, and Amiee C. Brand; stepsons William Iannone and John Iannone; five grandchildren, Jackson, Sophia, Emma, Kairo, and Chase; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A spring graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mt Hope Cemetery, aka Fordsbush Cemetery, Fordsbush Road, Fort Plain, NY. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to a homeless veteran program.
