Mr. William Frank Oldick, Sr., 67, of St. Hwy. 5, Palatine Bridge, New York, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home.
Born on September 30, 1942 in the Town of Minden, NY, he was the son of Harland Oldick and Nancy Grainer Oldick. Mr. Oldick had been a resident of Palatine Bridge for the past 5 years. He had resided in Van Hornesville for 6 years and prior to that he lived on Oldick Road in Fort Plain.
Most recently Mr. Oldick was a tractor trailer driver for Richard Obreza Trucking for over 10 years; previously he had worked with his father on the family farm.
On October 20, 1985 in Burlington Flats, Mr. Oldick married Rose Mary Duncan.
Mr. Oldick took pleasure in hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was known as a handyman, always helping his friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his father and mother and his sister, Marion Mikus.
In addition to his wife, Rose Mary Oldick of Palatine Bridge, NY, Mr. Oldick is also survived by his daughters, Tracy Oldick and Patrick Mereness of Fort Plain, NY, Lucinda Oldick and James Gordon of Sprakers, NY, Becky Oldick and Don Walsh of West Windfield, NY, Kelly Oldick and David Werpechowski of Burlington Flats, NY, Melissa Wilson of Ilion, NY, Jody Douglas of Herkimer, NY; sons, William Oldick, Jr. of Starkville, NY, Todd Oldick of Fort Plain, NY; step-son, Kevin Duncan of Palatine Bridge, NY; brothers, Ramond Oldick of Fort Plain, NY, Don Oldick of Newville, NY, Ralph Oldick or Fort Plain, NY; sisters, Jane Lasher of Fort Plain, NY, Betty Steele of Newville, NY, Lucille Oldick of Herkimer, NY, Denise Oldick of St. Johnsville, NY; 24 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
