Obituary of William E. Mosher

Mr. William E. Mosher, 69, of State Highway 5s, Fort Plain, NY, died on January 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in the Town of Minden, on July 3, 1954, the son of the late Howard E. Mosher, Sr., and Katherine E. Failing Mosher. In 1972 he graduated from Fort Plain High School; he then took classes though LaSalle University for a short time.
Bill lived in the local area his entire life and was a self-employed contractor until his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, and was especially proud of his 1949 Candy Apple Red Panhead, which was featured on the back cover of a book, he spent other time in his wood shop, and hunting. He also was a proud member of the NYS Muzzleloader Club and the Nowadaga Muzzleloader Club.
On July 3, 1982, on River Road Fort Plain, he married Mary A. Salvagni Herringshaw, who survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Michelle "Missy" and her husband Mike Calbet, and Shelley and Bill Dorritie; his son George and Crystal Herringshaw; siblings Berry "Wayne" Mosher, Fred Mosher, Robin and her husband Rich Dineen, Howard "Moe" Mosher, Jr., Mariann and Jack McPhillips; grandchildren Jon Calbet, Elizabeth Herringshaw, Eric Dorritie, Louis Calbet, Lucas Dorritie and Isabelle Herringshaw; great neighbors, Tim and Shea Breheny and Shirley (Yoran) Brown as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The burial will take place at Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills, NY.
The family invites everyone to join them for a celebration of life on Friday, January 12th, 2023, starting at 12:00 noon at the Canajoharie Moose on Erie Blvd., Canajoharie, NY 13317.
