Mr. Clay D. Hammond, 53, of Brand Road, Sprakers, New York, died, Monday, March 8, 2010 at his home.
Born on February 7, 1957 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Norman W. Hammond and Edna Mitchell Hammond. Mr. Hammond was a graduate of Schenectady High School. He was a lifetime area resident.
Most currently Mr. Hammond was working as an inserter for the Recorder Newspaper in Amsterdam, NY. He was concurrently working for the Town of Charleston part time. Prior to working at the paper he was the owner and operator of Clays Food Emporium in the Town of Florida.
He had a love for motorcycles.
Mr. Hammond is survived by his sister, Ethelann Morehouse of Charleston, NY; brother, William F. Hammond of Charleston, NY and his loving dog, Bear.
