Mr. Arthur F. Logan, 63, of Stone Arabia Road, Fort Plain, New York, died, Friday, March 12, 2010 unexpectedly.
Born on September 20, 1946, he was the son of Thomas Logan and Mabel Harppinger Logan. Art had attended Schalmont High School and had been a local area resident since 1964, having previously resided in Schenectady on the family farm.
In his younger years Art had worked on the family farm, Logan Brothers Farm. He then became the owner and operator of A&A Heavy Duty Truck Repair with Artie, his son. Following that venture Art then went on to drive tractor trailers until his present employment with Longhorn Trucking.
Art was a member of the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club, Sprout Brook Rod & Gun Club, Ilion Fish & Game Club, Forest Preserve Snowmobile Club, and NYSSA (New York State Skeetshooters Association). Art was an amazing skeetshooter and trap shooter. He felt at home in the woods, and was an avid hunter.
On September 24, 1966 in St. Johnsville, NY, he was married to Linda Oeser. He is survived by his wife Linda E. Logan of Stone Arabia, NY. He is also survived by his son; Artie Logan of Stone Arabia, NY; daughters, Andrea & Scott Fassett of Ames, NY, Melinda & Stephen Herron of Fort Plain, NY, Jolene Peet of Stone Arabia, NY; grandsons, Branson Logan, Kyler Peet, Koby Herron; granddaughters, Christa Logan, Rylee Herron, Kiana Peet; all of whom who he loved spending time with because they gave him such great joy. Art is also survived by brothers, Thomas R. Logan of Canajoharie, NY, Leonard Logan of Fort Plain, NY, James Logan of OK, Edward Logan of Canajoharie, NY; sisters, Valerie Sagers of UT, Pamela Hawkes of UT, Kolleen Logan of Palatine Bridge, NY, Suzzette Logan of Fort Plain, NY Roxanne Berger of FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
