Obituary of Robert S. Smith

Mr. Robert S. Smith, 71, of Montgomery Street, Canajoharie, NY, died on April 10, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Amsterdam, NY on May 1, 1951, the son of the late Donald S. Smith and Bernice J. Monk Smith.

Robert was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1969 and had attended SUNY Cobleskill College studying floral design. He had been employed as a floral designer in the Washington, D.C. area while he was employed. After retiring he moved back to his hometown of Canajoharie, NY.

He was a member of the BPOE Eagles of Canajoharie.

Survivors include his brothers Ronald J. Smith, Richard D. Smith and his wife Gertrude, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 18^th, at 11:00AM, at the Houghtaling and Smith Funeral home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.  A period of visitation will precede the service from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Ames Cemetery after the service.
