Obituary of Henry Gondarowski

 Mr. Henry Joseph Gondarowski, 94, passed away peacefully into God’s care on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Henry was born on August 20, 1928, in Tolland, Connecticut and grew up in Amsterdam and New York Mills, New York.   He was the son of the late Julia Krawczyk Gondarowski.  He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I), earning a BS in Aeronautical Aerospace Engineering in 1949.  He was a registered Professional Engineer (PE).  Henry started his career at the Boeing Aircraft company in Seattle, Washington.  He then worked at General Electric in Utica for over 35 years, retiring in June 1989.

Henry is pre-deceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Musto Gondarowski, and survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his brother and sister in-laws Joseph and Mary Zawilinski, Frank and Rosalie Mustico, and Paride and Anne Ombrellaro.

Henry was a passionate aviator and loved flying his own airplane.  He was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope in Fort Plain, and was very active in the church, including serving as an usher which he did with great pride.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 18, at 11 am at Our Lady of Hope, Fort Plain.    Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at Our Lady of Hope from 9:30 - 11 am.  Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
