Mrs. Jessie L. Dingman, 100, formerly of Fort Plain, New York died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center.
Born on January 3, 1922 in the Town of Minden, she was the daughter of Henry Nestle and Pearl Ward Nestle and was a life long area resident. She attended Kesslers Corners School and Fort Plain Central School.
She was a mother and homemaker as well as worked as a sewing machine operator for Luxuray in Fort Plain.
Mrs. Dingman was a member of the Fort Plain United Methodist Church.
She was a volunteer for Fulmont Community Action Agency.
On July 6, 1940 in Fort Plain, NY, Jessie was married to Earl Dingman. He preceded her in death in March 1989. Her parents; sister, Betty; brother, Richard; and son-in-law, Daniel also predeceased her.
Mrs. Dingman is survived by her son, Bruce and Beverlee Dingman; daughter, Candice Weppner; grandchildren, Kelley (Ravi) Jain, Patrick (Tara) Weppner, Jeannine (Alex) Webster, Jason Dingman; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Judah, Colin, Ava, Tyler, Alexander, Cate, Brody, Piper; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00AM at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. The family will recieve relatives and friends on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.
