Mrs. Beulah M. "Snooky" Cooper, 82, most recently of Averill Street, St. Johnsville, New York died Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam.
Born on June 4, 1940 in Abington, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Earl Refsnider and Ella Mae Saylor Refsnider. She had been a resident of the Fort Plain, St. Johnsville area since 2007, previously residing in Cooperstown.
She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked for Coleco in Gloversville, NY.
Beulah was of Christian faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid QVC shopper and a good singer. Beulah was an animal lover, often donating to local animal shelters.
On August 25, 1964 on Long Island, NY, Beulah was married to Arthur F. Cooper, Sr. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2004. Her brother, Frankie Refsnider; great-granddaughter, Avianna Cotton; son-in-law, George Dooley; and bestfriend, Joyce Brenzel also predeceased her.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children, Arthur F. Cooper, Jr. and his wife, Richelle Cooper of Mechanicville, NY, Lisa Dooley of St. Johnsville, NY, John Cooper of Johnstown, NY; former daughter-in-law, Charleen Cooper of Gloversville, NY; 4 grandchildren, Heather Hotaling and Roger Ayres, Amber and Cody Cotton, Ashley and Joe Burkhart, Samantha Dooley; 8 great-grandchildren, Cayden, Matty, Brooklynn, Sophia, Kileigh, Hunter, Audrey, Gerald; 5 sisters Mary, Evie, Naomi, Diane, Ella Mae; 1 brother, Earl; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 3:00PM at Clifton Park Center Baptist Church, 713 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065 with a Celebration of Life following. There will be a potluck dinner following services; so please bring a dish to pass.
