Obituary of Alfred P. Yacobucci

Mr. Alfred P. Yacobucci, 81, of St. Hwy. 10, Canajoharie, New York, passed away May 27, 2010 at his home following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Yacobucci was born the son of Cataldo and Louisa Yacobucci on September 29, 1928. He was employed by the Canajoharie Police Department for twenty-five years, retiring in 1985. Mr. Yacobucci was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He was a member of the Canajoharie Smith-Schultz American Legion Post #222, the Canajoharie/Fort Plain Elks Lodge #2621 B.P.O.E., the Police Benevolent Association, NYS Police Chief Association, the NYS North Eastern Chiefs of Police and the Silver Spur Riding Club. In addition, Mr. Yacobucci was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and horseback riding. On January 1, 1954 he was married to Nellie Marie Desmond. In addition to his wife, Nellie Yacobucci of Canajoharie, NY, he is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Charlene Yacobucci; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Danny Mulder; five grandchildren, Chris, Patrick, Matthew, Alex and Ashley and one great-granddaughter, Alexis. Mr. Yacobucci is predeceased by his brothers, Albert, Alfred, Floyd and Julius; sisters, Yolanda Barker, Angelina Kwaitkowski and Alice Donato.
