Obituary of Toni Beekman Putnam

Mrs. Toni Beekman Putnam, 74, of State Highway 10, Fort Plain, New York died Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center, following a prolonged illness.
Born on March 29, 1947 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of James A. Beekman and Mildred Walrath. She was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, Class of 1965 and Spencer Business College, Class of 1966. She was a lifelong area resident.
She was a loving, devoted housewife.
Toni was a woman who wore many hats. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all that knew her.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, holiday get-togethers and going out to eat. Her hobbies included putting puzzles together and watching afternoon tv. She loved fast cars, horses, and going for drives around the area to take in the sights.
Mrs. Putnam was a member of Grace Church in St. Johnsville. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
On April 13, 1985 in Nelliston, NY, Toni was married to James Putnam.
Her father, James A. Beekman; mother, Mildred Walrath; step-son, Harold Spaulding; and granddaughter, Ashley Putnam predeceased her.
Mrs. Putnam is survived by her husband, James Putnam of Fort Plain, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Valerie Hext of Caroga Lake, NY, Mitchell and Kimberly Hext of St. Johnsville, NY, Christopher and Megan Putnam of Fort Plain, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Richard Euler of Palatine Bridge, NY; step-son, James Putnam of St. Johnsville, NY; step-daughter, Rachel Millington of St. Johnsville, NY; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, Toni was an Anatomical Gift to Albany Medical College with cremation to follow. The family invites relatives and friends to a memorial service at Grace Church in St. Johnsville on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00PM with Rev. Michael Torres officiating.
