Mr. Milton Krutz, 88, of Shultze Street, Canajoharie, New York died peacefully Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born on May 24, 1933, in New York City, he was the son of Milton and Kristina Yurik Krutz. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1950 and had been a lifetime area resident, wintering in Punta Gorda, Florida from 2008-2019.
Milt was a born salesman. He started Milt's Electrical and Plumbing Contractor Business, then he went to work for Wimple Real Estate in Sloansville which started his real estate career. Taking what he learned from this job he became the Real Estate Broker and Owner of Krutz Properties, which he started in 1991 which he sold and retired from in 2006.
He was of Methodist faith.
Milt was the President of the Fort Rensselaer Club and was a member of the Eccentric Club in Gloversville. He had a love for aviation and was a talented woodworker. He was a natural handyman. He loved traveling with his beloved wife, Barbie. He enjoyed barbequing and spending time with friends and family.
On October 6, 1990, at the United Methodist Church of Canajoharie, Milton was married to Barbara Perkins.
His sons, Brian Scott Krutz, Alan J. Krutz; great-grandson, Ellis Ganter; and half-sister, Joyce Dillenbeck predeceased him.
Mr. Krutz is survived by his wife, Barbara Krutz; sons, Duane and Sue Krutz, Shawn and Anne Krutz, Darrin Krutz; stepdaughters, Linda and Scott Blomquist, Donna and David DeLuca, Julie and John Washburn, Laurie and Tom Weingart; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Noon at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
