Mrs. Dorothy J. Groff, 64, of Stone Arabia Road, Fort Plain, New York, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital in Utica following a long illness.
Born on May 4, 1946 in Canajoharie, NY, she was the daughter of Alfred and Blanche Dygert. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Groff was a mother and homemaker.
She was of Methodist faith.
Mrs. Groff enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.
On June 1, 1967 she married Duane Groff. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Mrs. Groff is predeceased by her parents; sister, Marge Hazzard and brother, Robert Dygert.
Mrs. Groff is survived by her husband, Duane Groff of Fort Plain, NY; brothers, Jerry Dygert of AZ, Lester Dygert of Stone Arabia, NY, Jack Dygert of Sprakers, NY, Donald Dygert, her twin brother, of Gloversville, NY, Raymond Dygert of Cherry Valley, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
