Obituary of Thomas May
Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas May, a loving friend to all in Montgomery County, joined his deceased father and nephew in heaven on December 8, 2021.
Tom, 62 of Canajoharie, was born on October 6, 1959, and is loved by many for his humor, empathetic nature, and entrepreneurial spirit. After attending SUNY Fredonia for journalism, he opened his own advertising business in 1986. He took pride in his work until the day of his passing and found purpose in connecting with other small business owners.
Above all, Tom loved spending time with his family. His most cherished moments were spent with his children. He always made the simple moments both fun and downright hilarious, from midnight store runs for sweet treats with Gabriel, watching Sam’s baseball games, to planning summer vacations in Wildwood, NJ. His eyes would light up at the sound of his kids' ideas.
Furthermore, he enjoyed attending church and held a strong faith in Jesus. His favorite time of year was Christmas – he loved driving through beautiful holiday lights, giving to the ones he loved, and gathering around the Christmas tree with his kids. And he loved his iced caramel lattes!
Thomas May is deeply loved and missed by his family. He is survived by his children, Gwen Tallman, her husband Joe Tallman and their son Charlie Tallman; Emily May; Samuel May; and Gabriel May; his mother, Ruth Lotridge; his brothers, Alan May; Kevin May and his wife Jennifer May; his sisters, Pamela Ullman and her husband David Ullman; Sandy Gonzalez and her husband David Gonzalez; and many beautiful nieces and nephews. We all look forward to seeing you again in heaven one day. We love you.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10:00-12:00PM with a funeral service at Noon at Grace Baptist Church, 131 Clark Road, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
