Obituary of Robert Moshier

Mr. Robert James Moshier, 54, of Center Street, Fort Plain, New York died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at home. Born on November 21, 1966 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Daniel David Moshier and Gladys Audrey Silvernail Everson. He had been a resident of Fort Plain for the past 3 years, previously residing in St. Johnsville. Most recently Robert worked as a Clerk for Indian Castle and Iroquois Gas Stations on the Thruway. Prior to that, he was an Auto Mechanic for Monroe Muffler. Robert was a Volunteer Firefighter, serving in St. Johnsville and Mohawk. He was a member of "Kathy's Misfits", a Friday Night Co-Ed Bowling League at Ilion State Bowling Center. He was also the best Father-in-law anyone could ask for. On October 25, 1986 in Mohawk, NY, Robert was married to Kathleen Kellogg Moshier. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2019. His parents and step-father also predeceased him. Mr. Moshier is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Adam Cline of Fort Plain, NY; siblings, George Moshier of Ilion, NY, Audrey Grower of Oppenheim, NY, Dale Richer of Mohawk, NY, Harvey Everson of Ilion, NY, Leon Everson of Ilion, NY, Lillian Everson Kent of Herkimer, NY; adopted daughters, Deena Groves, Amber DeGroat; grandchildren, Jahdia Austin, Bryce, Noah, Carter, and Karsyn; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; dogs, Ruby, Millie, Sophia; and cat, Phoenix. the family invites friends and relatives to a public visitation from 10:00-11:00am on Thursday November 18th, 2021 at the Gray-Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Following the visitation a memorial service will take place at 11:00am at the funeral home, with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating.
