Mr. Richard H. Williams, 73, of Route 10, Ames, New York died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at his home.
Born April 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Pauline (Fredericks) Williams and Raymond Williams. A lifelong area resident, Richard attended Sharon Springs Central School. He was employed by Palatine Dye in St. Johnsville and later worked at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie until his retirement.
Richard known as "Rick" to his family and "Dick" to his many friends, loved nature and enjoyed endless country rides in his retirement. He traveled on side roads admiring animals, flowers and scenery. He took many pictures and shared them on his facebook page. He enjoyed visiting with the Amish and sharing stories with them. He loved his truck and car and always took great care of them. Everyone enjoyed his beautiful photos. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his son, Kevin Williams in 1997; brothers, Raymond W. Williams, Jr. of Canajoharie; niece, Christy Eldredge of Canajoharie; and nephew, Kenneth R. Williams of Palatine Bridge; brother-in-law, Gordon Pitcher of Cobleskill.
He is survived by his grandson, Ryan Williams; brother, Larry Williams; sister, Barbara Pitcher; nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends.
There will be a private burial when plans are completed.
