Mrs. Muriel B. Williams, 81, of Mary Street, Palatine Bridge, New York died, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness.
Born on September 19, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Paul Beroff and Elizabeth Johnston Beroff. She was a graduate of Sharon Springs Central School, class of 1946. She had been a local area resident since 1940.
Mrs. Williams worked for Beech-Nut for 27 years as a Machine Operator in the Print Department until her retirement in January 1989.
She was a member of the former Aldersgate Free Methodist Church in Canajoharie.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the 25 Year Club at Beech-Nut, a former member of the Women's Club at Church, former member of the Schoharie County Hay Shakers Square Dance Club and a member of the Schoharie County Blue Bird Society.
On April 23, 1972 at the Ames-Sprout Brook United Methodist Church she was married to Barney Williams. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1999. She was also predeceased by a sister, Neva Stanton.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Duane Willoughby of Pattersonville, NY; step-sons, Daniel J. Williams of Newbern, NC, Thomas D. Williams of Stuart, FL, David J. Williams of Fort Plain, NY; step-daughter, Sylvia G. Williams of Lake Worth, FL; brother, Donald Beroff of Louisville, KY; sister, Vivian Keller of Sharon Springs, NY; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
