Mr. Jeremy J. Cotton, 47 of Caroga Lake, New York died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Born on July 15, 1974 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Earl J. Cotton and Debra Seelow Cotton. He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1993 and was a lifelong area resident. Following graduation he obtained his Auto Mechanic's License.
Jeremy was a talented Mechanic working for Brown's Ford in Johnstown, NY.
He was of Methodist faith.
Jeremy was a member of The Ephratah Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making toys, 4-wheeling, and dirt-bikes. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his daughter and grandson.
Jeremy was predeceased by his grandfather, Earl Cotton and grandson, Tanner Dillenbeck.
He is survived by his mother, Debra Cotton and Mike Colvin; father, Earl J. Cotton; daughter, Jayde Cotton and Cameron Dillenbeck; grandson, Tatum Dillenbeck; brother, Shawn and Kim Cotton; sister, Shea and Tom Bowman; grandmother, Beverly Cotton; niece, Shawna; nephew, Austin; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 7 from 4:00-7:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Burial will take place in Freysbush Cemetery on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00AM. A celebration of life will follow at Noon at The Ephratah Rod & Gun Club.
