Mr. William P. Phillips (Bill)
Bill entered eternal rest on June 8, 2021, at St. Peters Hospital in Albany, NY with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle.
Bill was born on June 5, 1954, to John and Louise (Pat) Phillips, of Canajoharie.
He attended Canajoharie High School, and FMCC.
He was the owner of Bill’s Auto Body and Propane Service in Sprakers, NY. He also worked for the Town of Charleston Highway Dept for many years.
He was a member of the Fort Plain American Legion. He also was a Big Brother for the Big Brothers Program for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his loving brother Jack Phillips.
He leaves behind 2 nieces Carrie Phillips Fletcher, Karen Soule and a nephew Kevin Greene all of Connecticut; Stepsons John and Justin Belfance and 3 step grandsons; his beloved cat Ted; Barbara Phillips of Fonda, NY; and many great friends and neighbors.
Anyone who would like to gather to remember Bill in a special way may do so on Sunday June 13th, from 4:00-6:00PM, at the chapel of Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
Burial will take privately at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
