Obituary of Bobby-Jon Hoffman

Mr. Bobby-Jon Hoffman, 50, of Branch Street, Gloversville, New York died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home. Born on January 11, 1971 in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of Leonard Hoffman and Linda King Hoffman. He attended Fort Plain Schools and was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School, Class of 1989. He was a lifetime area resident. He worked for DHL in Johnstown for the past 17 years. He really enjoyed his job there and his co-workers. He was also a tollbooth attendant for the NYS Thruway and worked for various area farmers. He was a member of Freysbush United Methodist Church. Bobby-Jon enjoyed all types of Racecars. He loved sports, especially baseball and football, knowing all the statistics for each. His father, Leonard Hoffman predeceased him. He is survived by his mother, Linda Hoffman of Johnstown, NY; brothers, Chad Hoffman of Johnstown, NY, Brian and Deanne Hoffman of Seattle, Washington, Scott Hoffman of Johnstown, NY; niece, Kyra Hoffman; great-nieces, Harper and Addalyne; as well as several cousins. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Noon at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 10:00-12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Freysbush Cemetery. The family is requesting that anyone attending services please wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
