Gavin Keith Eggleston left this Earth on Friday, May 7 at his home 256 Airport Road, Fort Plain with his family around him.
He was born in Amsterdam on June 19, 1973 to Gordon and Christine Oarr Eggleston. He lived his entire life in Montgomery County. He attended Lexington Center Day Hab.
Gavin loved to tell jokes, make people laugh and smile. He was a member of the FPCS Class of 1992.
He loved riding his four wheeler (Oscar), trimming trees with his Husqvarna saw and taking long rides in the car which he called galavanting.
Gavin loved people and was loved in return.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Matthew Eggleston (Tanya Tisko), his grandfather William Eggleston (Linda), his uncles Garth Eggleston (Candie), Stephen Oarr (Patricia), Brian Oarr (Judy), aunts Garlyn Eggleston MaGinnis and Kathleen Oarr Smith, as well as his cousins Peter Oboyski, Patrick Oarr, Jordan Oarr Carta, Andrew Oarr, Katie Oarr, Erica Oarr Mione, Michael Innis, Willow MaGinnis, Griffin MaGinnis, Josephia Carasole, Adam Oarr, Christopher Oarr, and his life long special friends Traci Fisher, Casey Battisti, Steve MacPhail and Craig Phillips.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday May 12, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. We ask that everyone attending any services comply with established pandemic precautionary measures while in attendance. Burial will take place privately at Fort Plain Cemetery at a later date.
