Obituary of Norma D. Fiacchi

Mrs. Norma D. Fiacchi, 86, of Cliff Street, Canajoharie, New York died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam. Born on July 20, 1934 in Morrisonville, NY, she was the daughter of Carl J. Earing, Sr. and Bertha Rock Earing. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and spent most of her life in the Canajoharie area. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Mrs. Fiacchi enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and BBQ's. She looked forward to every holiday. On July 29, 1952 at St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church, Norma was married to William Fiacchi. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2010. She was also predeceased by her son, James Fiacchi; brothers, Carl J. Earing, Jr., James Earing; and sister, Bernice Susi. Mrs. Fiacchi is survived by her daughters, Christine Schwartz and Alan Jones, Victoria Kraft; son, Mark Fiacchi and Theresa; daughter-in-law, Lynda Fiacchi; siblings, Iona Vaccaro, Rose Marie "Mickey" Russo, Esther Nurnberger; 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. Burial will take place in St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Norma D.
